Good evening,

Based on my knowledge, HDB will not be likely to issue you the keys to the BTO based on your situation. Both buyers need to be present at HDB sales office to sign the documents for key collection. It would be good that both of you contact the sales office to cancel the application to prevent unwanted cost incurred after official key collection date.

It is unfortunate reality did not work out as plan.

You have to understand 3 things:
(1) Eligibility: You are not eligible to collect key by yourselves.
(2) Cost: There are stamp fee, conveyancing fee, caveat & title search fees that will amount up to few thousand dollars in order to collect the key.
(3) Document: You will have to present marriage certificate at key collection if you had applied for AHG. Failure of such, you will not be able to collect the key.

The most important thing is "all applicants must be present" during key collection.

Suggestion is to cancel the whole thing to prolong the agony.
